2023 seems to be the year of breakups. My social media feed is flooded with one heartbreaking announcement after another. After Kusha Kapila- Zorawar Ahluwalia, and Puneesh Sharma-Bandgee Kallra’s breakup, another popular couple called it quits. Telly stars Farnaz Shetty and Rohil Chandel have broken up after dating for a year.
Farnaz and Rohit met on the sets of Kashibai Bajirao Ballal and instantly fell for each other. After the show concluded, they continued to see each and their relationship grew strong. However, Farnaz recently confirmed that the two parted ways in March 2023. The actress blamed Rohit for cheating on her and that was the final straw for her.
In an interview, Farnaz shared, “Conflicts arose soon after we started dating. Once, I caught him with another girl. He confessed to cheating on me and begged for forgiveness. Though I forgave him I began to develop trust issues. To make matters worse, he would block me and ignore my calls. Eventually, I ended the relationship in March. I couldn’t tolerate the infidelity.”
However, Rohit denied all the allegations and claimed that he never cheated on her. In a media interaction, he claimed that his work was the main reason for their conflict. The Balika Vadhu star shared, “Most of my relationships suffer because when I am at work, am only focused on it. I don’t like being distracted. I guess that might have created some issues between us.”
It is hard to determine what exactly went wrong between Faraz and Rohit. But it is heartbreaking to see one of my favourite ships go their separate ways.
Breakups are always hard and my heart goes out to both Rohit and Faraz. I hope they find the happiness they are looking for in life.
