Mehendi is to weddings what flowers are to anniversaries. They HAVE to be there for the beauty that they spread and the feeling of love that they bring. There are giggles, there is dancing and there are colourful outfits- what’s not to love about a mehendi function? But, apart from peacocks, flowers, we love to spot some unusual designs. Seriously, aren’t you bored of seeing kings and queens? We know, we are. Unique mehendi designs look gorgeous, don’t they? Here’s a real bride who did something hatke for her mehendi and the foodie in us is loving her.
This bride had ‘Butter Chicken’ written on her hands and it was adorable!
For her mehendi outfit, Sanchita Rajvanshi chose to wear a pista green lehenga with mirror work detailing. She pairde her simple lehenga skirt with the blouse that was embellished with sequin and mirror work. As for her accessories, she wore a gorgeous maang tikka, dangling earrings with the outfit. She kept her makeup subtle and fresh.
Now, take a closer look at her mehendi design!
The groom, Prasoon Kochhar, twinned with his dulhan in a white kurta pajama and pista green nehru jacket. *Iss jodi ko nazar na lage*
Look at this cute video of the bride and groom dancing to Salman Khan and Priyanka Chopra’s song, Tenu Le Ke Main Javanga.
Here is what their fun-filled sangeet looked like and we want to dance along
For her Sangeet, Sanchita chose to wear a lehenga by designer Abhinav Mishra. We have to say, she looked drop-dead-gorgeous in this ensemble with gold detailing. Maroing thumkas, she danced the night away.
Prasoon wore a tuxedo for his sangeet function and looked extremely sharp. We can’t get enough of their bhangra moves or their wide smiles. Happy couples look the best, don’t they?
This is what their D-Day in Bikaner looked like
From a super cute pink bridal outfit for Sanchita to the best hashtag (#butterchickenwithbhujia) ever, this wedding had it all.
Look at the decor, we fell in love with it.
It was also a green wedding because the couple tried to minimize the amount of waste at their wedding. They tried to use as little plastic as they could for all the functions. The couple had eco-friendly cutlery, reusable gift bags, gifted saplings and seeds as mehendi favours. They even had wedding invites made of recycled paper and envelopes out of newspaper (another reason, we love this couple and their shaadi.)
And finally, here is what the bride wore.
She wore a gorgeous fuchsia pink lehenga for her wedding designed by designer Rajbinder Kaur. She looked STUNNING.
For D-day makeup, she went with shimmery gold eyes and winged liner, defined brows and a flawless dewy base. To pull the look together, she chose a bright pink lipstick that matched her outfit perfectly. Her makeup artists, Arck Arora, sure did a fab job.
The photographs were clicked by Beginnings For You, and must say, they’ve done a terrific job at capturing the madness that goes into a big, fat Indian wedding.
Prasoon wore a white sherwani for his special day. We love the gold detailing on the sherwani. He also wore a white pagdi and perfectly contrasted his bride. Aren’t they adorable?
We absolutely loved your #ButterChickenWithBhujia wedding, Sanchita and Prasoon. Hoping there’s only happiness in your life and your love for each other continue to grow. ❤
