I hate working out–there, I said it. Who even came up with the idea of exercising? Who wakes up in the morning and thinks of squats and burpees? And all these people who hit the gym to ‘relax’, do you even know what relaxing means? Okay, so I’m not saying that working out is a bad thing but how do these people manage to find the energy to exercise after a long day at work?
Even if I put on a few kilos, it’s practically impossible for me to lose weight because I’d rather deal with fat than hit the gym or diet. We all know that exercising is important for our health but it’s not fun, is it now? And TBH, there are some really fun ways to stay fit including dancing and swimming! But if you’re one of those people who’ll do just about anything to avoid working out, here are some things that you’ll completely relate to.
1. Yoga Pants Are Not For Yoga
Let’s face it, they make us look amazing. But you don’t need to hit the gym or pick up the mat to wear these amazing yoga pants. You can always wear them wherever you go, including the grocery store or maybe even when you’re heading to that fine dining restaurant.
2. But It Might Rain Today!
You have a long list of excuses ready so you can avoid hitting the gym or go running. Even if you have to use the most absurd reasons ever, you’ll do it just to get away.
3. Pro At Procrastinating
You’ve aced the art of procrastination. I’ll go to the gym tomorrow, I’ll start waking up early, I’ll walk that extra mile–you’ve told yourself all of this but we know that ‘tomorrow’ is never going to come.
4. Movie Marathons Are Your Thing
That’s the only marathon you’re ever going to participate in! No chance you’re running all those miles for nothing when you can curl up on the couch and run a movie marathon instead.
5. Sports Bras Are For Fashion
Have you seen all those super-comfy and supporting sports bras? Aren’t they just so stylish? You always end up investing in some chic sportswear items but only for fashion.
6. Money Wasted On Gym Memberships
I once thought that spending on a gym membership might motivate me to not waste my hard-earned money. Well, it turns out–I don’t really care. Nothing can motivate me to exercise, (not even that cute guy with abs in the gym) unless of course, you pay me a million bucks to run a mile.
7. This Is Uncomfortable
Being around health and fitness lovers scares you more than anything else. It usually becomes awkward because you envy them for being able to do what they do but you also judge them because kaise kar lete hain ye workout? And god forbid, if they challenge you to some push-ups or burpees, you know they’re going to judge you when you don’t do it right.
Jokes apart, we all know that fitness is important for our health but that doesn’t mean we’re going to stop whining about it….ever!
