The Ambanis just hosted yet another star-studded event at the NMACC. It was a historic night as the Ambani family and their celebrity friends gathered together to watch The Sound of Music, India’s very first Broadway musical show!
Nita spoke about the grand musical in a media interaction and shared, “When we launched NMACC last month, I said that we’d be bringing the best of the world to India, that is why The Sound of Music is here. It is an iconic, timeless, classic that is enjoyed by everybody.”

A musical tells stories through live singing, dancing, music, and dialogue. Broadway musicals get their name from the popular theatre district in Manhattan, USA. It houses 40 theatres with a seating capacity of 500 and more. Shows presented in this district are considered the benchmark of theatre across the world with their award-winning music, sets, costumes, and larger-than-life experience.
Rodgers and Hammerstein’s The Sound of Music is one of the most loved Broadway musicals worldwide. It is a timeless classic that premiered way back in 1959 and has toured over 100 countries ever since. It has won many awards including seven Tony Awards!
We can now experience the magic of Broadway musicals at NMACC’s plush 2000-seat grand theatre. The tickets start at Rs 1100 and go up to 42,500 depending on what seat or box you choose to sit in. Rest assured, this is going to be the experience of a lifetime!
