Pumps, pout, and posture never go out of fashion, but when it comes to celebrities and their stylists, anything and everything has the potential to become a trend. And, while I do think twice before buying a dress, I never worry about buying new shoes. Never. There’s always room for another shoe-of-the-year in my closet.
Now, when I talk about B-town girls and their favourite shoes, you would probably imagine sassy peep-toes and pumps, but the year 2018 was all about comfort, comfort, and comfort. Oh yes, I am talking about sneakers, rather platform sneakers! From Karan Johar to Sonakshi Sinha and Alia Bhatt, the fashion frontrunners convinced everyone this year that sneakers are sexy. And while no one could be happier than me, there were some other shoe sightings this year that have made it to the top of my wishlist.
So, without further ado, here are the shoes that we’re crushing on this year!
1. Sonakshi Sinha slaying in those black peep-toes!

Dabaang girl Sonakshi Sinha walked as a showstopper for Vero Moda at its 10-year celebratory fashion show in all-black attire. And those shoes…woah!
2. Jacqueline Fernandez loves comfy-yet-cool shoes & we LOVE her for that!

Jacqueline, who is currently hooked to black and white sneakers, once owned these Valentino floaters like a boss! Her cool, and comfy, style makes her Insta-page a perfect vacay style-guide for us!
3. Katrina Kaif & Anushka Sharma look glamorous as ever in those gorgeous heels!

How gorgeous are those?! Katrina Kaif wore pink, strappy stilettos with her denim jacket while Anushka Sharma opted for ankle-strap heels with bow details to go perfectly with her hot pink, glitter dress. Love!
4. Alia Bhatt and her white platform sneakers are too cool to be left behind!

Alia Bhatt is a fan of comfortable clothing, and I’m honestly a fan of how she makes it look both sexy and cool. It’s an art! Her white platform sneakers paired with plain Jane jeans and a tee is all the proof you need.
5. Deepika Padukone’s strap heels are so hot!

Deepika Padukone’s wedding was almost like a Sanjay Leela Bhansali movie – Grand, gorgeous, and perfect! And while every outfit of hers was drool-worthy, I particularly liked her red on red look for the couple’s Mumbai receptions. Those red velvet heels are just what the outfit needed.
6. Pink thigh high booties + Kiara Advani = LOVE!
Take it from someone who is on the lookout for a good pair of shoes all the time, it’s not easy to rock pink boots. They are flashy and chances of pairing them with the wrong pieces are very high. However, Kiara’s off-white top and shorts are perfectly balancing the look, which is why we’re so obsessed with these beauties. She could have ditched the gold bag though, but it’s still a knockout look!
7. Remember when Priyanka Chopra made boots with animal print and socks look cool!

When you’re wearing statement pieces like animal-print boots, the secret to pulling them off lies in the combination! PeeCee’s off-white sweater dress and nude coat add just the right amount of neutral to balance out those OTT boots. And that’s why her outfit is totally on-point.
