Tahira Kashyap, who became a household name for her inspirational and honest posts about battling and surviving breast cancer spoke about her marriage with actor Ayushmann Khurrana. After tying the knot in 2008, Tahira admitted that their relationship hasn’t always been as smooth. The two set a new level of #CoupleGoals with the way the actor supported Tahira through her treatment, often taking to social media to express his love and admiration for her. But according to Tahira’s interview with a leading website, the grass wasn’t always this green.

In an interview, she recently talked about that while Ayushmann’s career was taking off with films like Vicky Donor, Tahira found herself comparing their career graphs in the same industry. “I had given up on my marriage with Ayushmann Khurrana many times,” Tahira went on to say.

“I had a problem with him kissing on screen. I felt like a big, huge fat whale sitting at home. When you are pregnant your hormones also go up and down. Here this boy is looking at his youngest youth best and he is romancing women and what is this onscreen kiss! We both were very young. He didn’t have the time and patience to take me along and I didn’t have the patience to understand. There was this disconnect that we were not there for each other to take each other along in that journey. Somewhere he knew that she doesn’t mean to be mad. I also knew he wasn’t cheating. I had to evolve as a person to understand what art is,” Tahira shared about Ayushmann’s on-screen kiss with co-actor Yami Gautam in Vicky Donor.
Tahira is not just a filmmaker, she is also the co-author of Cracking The Code: My Journey In Bollywood, Ayushmann’s autobiography.
The couple has worked out their differences and is now one of the cutest couples in Bollywood. Happy endings are our favourite!
