We loved Sushmita Sen’s web series Aarya! While season 1 of the show gave us a thrilling ride, the following season couldn’t live up to the hype. Now, a little birdie tells us that the show’s director Ram Madhvani is working on the script of Aarya 3 and we have mixed feelings about it.
A source close to Aarya’s production team shared, “Ram and his team have begun scripting for Aarya 3 and are excited to take the story on another level in terms of drama and thrills. Aarya is an extremely important project for him, and he doesn’t want to leave any stone unturned for the third part. As of now, they are hoping to start filming by the year-end.” Well, it seems that the makers of the show are going for a stretch it-as-long-as-you-can route.
Earlier this year, Ram had also hinted at a third season in an interview and said, “We will only know about season 3 depending on the love we receive for season 2, but like I said the show is meant to have 5 seasons minimum.”
While Aarya season 2 failed to live up to the expectations, season 3 can be Ram Madhvani’s chance for redemption. The biggest setback in the last season was how the makers made a calculated shift in the show’s narrative and it failed to charm the audience. Season 2 was Sushmita’s show entirely, but that didn’t leave much room for other characters to shine and that made the show a tough watch. Perhaps Aarya 3 can bring back the heat that left us impressed in the first place?
Sushmita Sen Opens Up On Aarya 3
TBH, we couldn’t get enough of Sushmita’s powerful performance in Aarya and Aarya 2, but is the Main Hoon Naa star ready for season 3? When asked about Aarya 3, Sushmita replied, “Penoza (Dutch drama series that inspired Aarya) had five seasons. So, we have the basic arc of five seasons. Only Ram can answer this question, but I have a dirty feeling we’re coming with season three.”
We just hope Aarya 3 doesn’t turn into a disappointment. But at the same time, we are hella excited to watch Sushmita in a badass role once again.
