If you’re looking for eye makeup inspiration to go with your festive wardrobe, head to Sonakshi Sinha’s Instagram page. You’ll find graphic eyeliner looks, cat eyes, and eyeshadow in every colour of the palette.
That said, the Dabangg star debuted the coolest glittery disco eye look last night, and it might just be one of her most dramatic eye makeup looks ever. It featured an iridescent green glitter eyeshadow. Her eye makeup was not only super bold and sparkly but there’s just something about this one that oozes drama from every angle. The eyes are both edgy and ethereal, thanks to the mesmerising green glitter. And well, honestly? It had us wanting to try the look for ourselves, ASAP.
Okay, it might not be one we recreate on a random weekday, but then again, party season is right around the corner and could be the perfect excuse to give it a go. Feeling inspired already? Here’s a step-by-step to guide you through the look.
A natural glow begins with the right moisturiser. Use a primer-moisturiser face base to help keep skin hydrated while ensuring staying power of what follows. We recommend using two different kinds of foundations so you only shine in the right places. Apply velvet matte foundation on the centre of the face, around folds of the mouth, where your nose meets your cheek, and a touch to the centre of the forehead. Then, apply a glowy foundation to the rest of the face using a separate tool. Set the makeup on your forehead, around the chin and nose using a translucent powder to keep it from creasing.
Fill in any gaps in the brows with your eyebrow pencil and feather them out with a spoolie. If you’re blessed with fuller eyebrows, you can just use a brow gel to set it in place.
Smear an eyeshadow primer across your eyelids to ensure your makeup stays put all night long. Take a light brown shade on a crease brush to define the sockets and also along the lower lash line. Then, with a flat shader brush, apply a green glitter eyeshadow all over the lids. Put some silver shadow on the inner corner of your eyes. Grab an eyeliner and apply winged eyeliner. If you’re exacting, complete the look by applying a voluminous pair of falsies.
Use a cream bronzer along your jawline, hairline and cheekbones for a more chiselled look. Make sure you blend it well.
Apply a cream highlighter on cheeks and high points of the face, using your fingers to pat and press the product. Then, apply a rosy cream blush on the apple of your cheeks, blend it upwards towards the temple.
Use a creamy matte lipstick in a nude brown hue to complete this eye-catching beauty look. Finally, you can make your makeup last longer by spritzing on a makeup setting spray.
Try this makeup look to shimmer, shine, and sparkle wherever you go!
