Even though Taapsee Pannu has been dating Mathias Boe for a long time, she started getting vocal about their relationship only recently. It was in 2017 when we first heard rumours of them going out. However, in a 2019 interview, the actress diluted the speculations by staying mum when questioned about the same. She wasn’t comfortable talking about her personal life back then and maintained a dignified silence every time she was questioned about her rumoured beau. Then finally in 2020, she opened up about the relationship and revealed that the two have been dating for several years.
Last year in a candid interview, Taapsee further shed light on her approach to dating and talked about how she doesn’t invest her energy in relationships where there’s no future. She also shared that her parents are keen on getting her married soon and she’ll think about getting hitched once she reaches a certain stage in her professional life. And guess what? We think that might happen soon as the actress has started talking about the wedding of her dreams.
During an interaction with a leading daily, Taapsee recently shared that she isn’t fond of big fat Indian weddings and talked about what she envisions for her D-day. She said, “I want a single-day wedding affair in tasteful nude and other subtle colours. It needs to be basic and drama-free because there is enough drama in my professional life, and I don’t want it to trickle down into my personal life.” The actress also mentioned that she would ask everyone to dance “dil khol kar” at her shaadi and that she doesn’t want any late-night rituals.
That’s not all, fam. Taapsee also got candid about her wedding look and mentioned that she’d like to keep it simple yet elegant. She explained, “The hairstyle will be something that doesn’t look like I needed a village to get ready. My heart feels bad when I see these brides who have thick layers and layers of makeup on. How do you enjoy looking at yourself when you’re a different person in those pictures? These memories are not just for that moment, they are forever. You don’t want to look at those pictures and not recognise yourself as yourself.”
Well, that sounds like a plan! We’re sure Taapsee’s going to make the most gorgeous bride ever. That said, married or not, we absolutely adore Taapsee and Mathias and are glad they’re in a good space RN.
