Our skin looks the best when it’s not thirsty. Keeping it hydrated by drinking plenty of water (2-3 litres a day) and moisturizing it religiously is a must. Applying serums, facial oils, and using face masks helps too.
Models are constantly getting dolled up so, naturally, they love catching a break from all that makeup to let their skin breathe. Remember to:
– Always remove your makeup before going to bed.
– Either replace your base (foundation or primer) with a good moisturizer or apply a thin layer of makeup after you’ve moisturized. Avoid applying makeup directly to your skin without a moisturizer.
– A facial spray or mist also helps keep skin fresh, especially during long flights or work hours.
Models break out too! If you have blemishes such as adult acne or old acne scars that just won’t budge, using an essential oil might be the best way to get rid of them once and for all. Tea tree oil is an expert-favourite as it not only clears your skin but also prevents the formation of bacteria on the skin. You can use it weekly or mix it with carrier oils such as coconut or olive oil for daily use.
No matter how much you wash or scrub your face, pollution, dirt, and makeup residue can set up camp in your pores. Deep cleaning every now and then is the way ahead, ladies. Steaming your face for a few minutes once a week is a great way to clear those pores from inside out. You’re welcome!
No, do NOT pop it like a bubble wrap. Pimples are annoying AF but they hurt, even more, when they appear on an important day. Spot treatments are the best way to diminish them in size in a matter of a few hours as these formulas tend to be strong. Alternatively, mix one tablespoon of baking soda with a few drops of water and apply the paste on the affected area. After a few hours, your pimple would look visibly smaller. You can also use an anti-acne face pack as spot treatment. Dab a pea-sized amount on your zit, leave it for some time and wash it off.
