Bigg Boss 13 winner Sidharth Shukla became infamous for his temper and there was a time when almost everybody in the house was against him. Despite all this, he managed to survive until the end ultimately winning the trophy. If you followed the show closely, you’d know that Sidharth tried his best to never show any signs of vulnerability. However, sometimes emotions got better of him and he wasn’t able to conceal his tears. Remember the family special episode? Sidharth couldn’t stop crying after seeing his mom Rita Shukla.
And in a recent interview with Humans of Bombay, Shukla ji spoke all about the beautiful bond that he shares with his mom. Awww! This maa-bete ka pyaar will surely make you teary-eyed.
‘I’ll Always Melt For My Mom… She’s The Most Important Person In My Life’
Talking about how he cannot be away from his mom, Sidharth said, “I’ll always melt for my mom. Right from the time I was born, she’s been the most important person in my life.”
He also spoke about how he is closest to his mom despite having two elder sisters. “I was the youngest of three kids & too small to play with my sisters, so I was always around mom. Back when I was a toddler, I’d cry if I had to go a second without her–so even while making rotis, she’d hold me in one hand & the roller in another!” Sidharth also opened up about how his mom is his best friend and that they would talk about anything and everything under the sun when he came back home after playing for hours.
The actor also got candid about how his mother has also been his teacher. “She’s taught me so much too–I was a naughty kid who’d get away with trouble. But when mom told me to always be honest, I immediately owned up to my mistakes,” said Sidharth.
‘My Mom Has Been Our Rock’
The Balika Vadhu actor’s father passed away when he was 24. He further shared how his mom was a rock for the entire family and how she fulfilled all their demands. “When dad passed away 15 years ago, it felt like the umbrella over us had been taken away. But my mom was our rock–she never showed any signs of vulnerability. Despite our poor finances, she ran the house, looked after 3 kids & fulfilled all our demands! I know now that she must’ve had to sacrifice so much to give us what we wanted.”
Not just his personal life, but the actor also spoke about how his mom played a pivotal role in helping him find his passion. He shared, “I used to act like the ‘cool guy’–so to ‘teach me a lesson’, she sent me for a modeling contest thinking I’d be put in my place! Funnily enough, I actually won! So, even on a subconscious level, she’s been a guiding force in my life.”
‘Being Away From My Mom Was The Toughest Part Of The Show’
Talking about his journey inside the Bigg Boss house, Shukla ji revealed that it was for the first time ever that he did not speak to his mom for months. “I know it doesn’t sound too cool to say it at 39–but being away from her was the toughest part of the show. So, when I received a letter from her on set, I sat & read it in her voice–it felt like she was right next to me & that letter was a piece of her,” shared Sid.
The emotional actor further shared that he feels like the happiest man on earth each time he is able to put a smile on his mother’s face. “She is a woman who means everything to me. Even today, she’s my anchor & never fails to give me her daily dose of advice–when I finally saw her on set after 3 long months, the first thing she told me was to stop wearing shorts all the time & to put on a pair of jeans!” said Shukla. Well, we all remember that, we had a good laugh!
Brb, going to give my mom a tight hug!
