Sidharth Malhotra was linked to a lot of co-stars before he started dating Kiara Advani. Alia Bhatt was one of them and according to the rumours, the duo dated for a long time. Thankfully, both the actors have moved on and are in happy relationships now. However, there’s something about his ex that Sidharth still misses.
During his appearance on Koffee With Karan 7, Sid talked about how he misses his ex’s cat. Netizens were quick to assume that he was talking about Alia and the Kapoor & Sons actor has confirmed the same by talking about that cat again. In a recent interview, Sidharth was asked to name one thing he learned from his last relationship. He replied, “I think I learned from my last relationship—don’t gift pets.” Later, when asked about one thing he would want to steal from Alia Bhatt, he quickly said, “The cat, Edward.”
Reacting to the interview, fans were quick to speculate that maybe Sidharth was the one who gifted Alia her cat. One said, “So Edward was a gift from Sid, he also said he missed the cat… now it all makes sense.” Another said, “Edward because he gifted her.”
For the unversed, Edward is one of Alia’s pet cats and she loves him to bits. The Brahamastra actress even named her children’s clothing and maternity wear line, Edamamma, short for Edward’s Mama, after him.
Sidharth On His Equation With Alia
In 2019, Sidharth opened up about his equation with Alia and even confirmed they were dating. He said, “I don’t think our equation is bitter. We haven’t really met since the breakup. It’s civil. It’s been a while. I have known her for much longer even before we dated. I have given my first-ever shot to her in SOTY. There is so much history.”
Well, we can relate to Sid. Moving on from an ex might be difficult but getting over their pet is ten times worse! Here’s hoping things get a little better between Alia and Sidharth so that he can meet Edward again!
