The Ambanis are a close-knit family and it shows in the heartwarming gestures they make for each other. We are especially obsessed with how the Ambani women keep sharing their jewellery and clothes just like any middle-class desi fam. The fact that each one of them owns some gigantic diamonds (and doesn’t need to borrow anything) makes it all the more wholesome. They do it just for the love and regard they hold for each other. Take, for instance, Shloka Ambani’s wedding reception look!
For her wedding reception, Shloka dressed up in a gold saree-lehenga by Manish Malhotra. It was, hands down, her best look from the wedding and she amped it with a pair of special yellow diamond earrings. Well, guess what? These beauties belong to Nita Ambani who was seen rocking the earrings at an event way before Shloka and Akash’s wedding!
Gemstone expert Julia Chafe recently pointed out how Shloka re-wore her MIL’s jewels for her wedding reception:
We are in awe of the stunning designs. It is marvellous how three huge teardrop diamonds have been neatly strung together in the unique design. Also, we love how the two Ambani women have added their touch to the earrings. While Nita knew how to perfectly incorporate them into a traditional look, Shloka used them for a more contemporary fit and aced it!
However, it is the thought behind lending something precious to your daughter-in-law the very moment she enters the family that has touched us the most here. If you think about it, this was Nita and Shloka’s way of welcoming and accepting each other. Beautiful, right?
