Truth be told, Shanaya Kapoor has won the hearts of many with her stunning looks and charming personality. And NGL, we were jumping off our seats when we heard that the starlet is all set to make her grand Bollywood debut with Bedhadak. However, a frenzy of whispers started to make rounds on the internet, claiming that the actress’s debut project with Dharma Productions may have been shelved. And TBH, we were heartbroken!
But thanks to Karan Johar, all these rumours were soon put to rest. The director took to the ‘Gram earlier today, and revealed that Bedhadak in fact, is not at a halt, and will hit the big screens some time next year. The director uploaded a picture of the cast on his official account and captioned it, “@shanayakapoor02 @gurfatehpirzada @itslakshya all set to storm the screens next year! Shooting commences first half of next year !!!! #BEDHADAK!!!!”. Yasss… We totes can’t wait!
It was only last year that the soon-to-be-debutant made her cameo on the Netflix show, Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives Season 1. It gave us a glimpse into her oh-so-glamorous lifestyle and it captured Shanaya’s day at the Le Bal des Débutantes in Paris. Since then, netizens can’t seem to get enough of her (or her Insta-feed), and have showered Shanaya with loads of love.
And now, fans are eagerly waiting for the release of Bedhadak as they can’t wait to finally see Shanaya on the silver screen. The film is directed by Shashank Khaitan and is said to be a tangled love story of three characters, Karan, Angad and Nimrit. Besides Shanaya, the film will also feature Gurfateh Singh Pirzada and Laksh Lalwani.
If you ask us, we’re defs counting the days to see Shanaya on the big screen, and we wish her and the team nothing but the best!
