We are almost halfway into 2022 and you know what that means, right? It’s time for the next season of Bigg Boss OTT to release soon. The latest buzz has it that the makers of the reality show have already started prepping for its next instalment and approaching contestants for the show. They’re trying to rope in a few celebs who have been dominating headlines for all the right and wrong reasons. We gotta say, the list sounds pretty interesting.
Unlike season 1, Karan Johar will apparently not be hosting BB OTT 2 as he will be busy with the shooting of Koffee With Karan season 7. It means that the makers are currently under a lot of pressure to make the upcoming season successful. They’re trying to bring in gharwalas who are not just bold and entertaining, but OTT in all sense. Well, they have already shortlisted a few names and interestingly, so have we. Scroll ahead to know what we’re talking about.
Here is the list of six celebs who have either reportedly been approached for BB OTT season 2 or have opened up about entering the house. We think that these stars can make perfect gharwalas as they have got exactly what the show needs—over the top personalities.
According to the grapevine, Anushka Sen has been approached by the makers of BB OTT to participate in the show. The actress rose to fame with her role in the fantasy series, Balveer, and became a household name after her stint in Khatron Ke Khiladi 11. She’s strong, cute and has a charm that can grab her viewers’ attention. But, does she have a manipulative and strategic side to her as well? Only time and her performance on BB OTT season 2 can reveal that.
Munawar Faruqui is creating a major buzz ATM for all the right reasons. He recently won Lock Upp season 1 and has a massive fan base. He is not just entertaining, but quite a smart player as well. During a recent AMA session that he hosted on his Instagram handle, he revealed that if approached by the makers, he might consider entering the house. Honestly, if that happens, he might turn into the new mastermind of the game.
Poonam Pandey was one of the most controversial contestants in Lock Upp season 1. While the OTT viewers loved her fiery personality, it might be time for the television audience to witness her charm as well. During a recent interview with a leading daily, the actress said, “I know they like to judge but at least judge after knowing the real me. Yes, I’m looking forward to starting things with a clean slate and am open to doing whatever this universe provides me. I’m open to anything now, even Bigg Boss.”
Akanksha Puri is that one celeb whose name has often been associated with potential BB gharwalas. She did not participate in Bigg Boss season 13 as she did not wish to spoil her former flame, Paras Chhabra’s game. While she did enter Bigg Boss 15 as a challenger for a short while, we would love to see her as a contestant in the upcoming season.
As per Bigg Boss’s unsaid tradition, the reality show often ropes in contestants from MTV reality series. From Pratik Sehajpal to Bani J, MTV celebs create dhamaka on the show. Going with the same format, Roadies season 18 winner, Hamid Barkzi, may become the new gharwala of BB OTT 2.
Azma Fallah was a wildcard contestant on Lock Upp, but my oh my, she was one big troublemaker. From provoking her co-contestants with her sharp words to making it impossible for them to win any task, she did it all. Bigg Boss loves controversial contestants and we think she’s the firecracker they might be looking for.
We have said it before and we will say it again, Bigg Boss should assign us as their casting director.
