Lock Upp may not have started on a bang, but the makers are trying their best to get our undivided attention and it’s working. The show recently introduced Sara Khan’s ex-husband, Ali Mercchant and netizens are hooked to the current drama brewing in the house.
TBH, we were enjoying watching Shivam Sharma and Sara develop a special bond, but it looks like Ali’s entry in the reality show might change the dynamics of their relationship. For the unversed, Ali and Sara got married during their stint on Bigg Boss 4. However, they parted ways after two months. They’ve always remained tight-lipped about what went wrong in their relationship until Sara just opened up about it on the show and we’re shook.
In the recent episode, Sara and Karanvir Bohra were chilling together when the latter asked her about what went wrong between them. The actress revealed, “At one point of time, we had a lot of differences. I was cheated on a lot of times. I used to forgive, forget and get back. At one point, I decided I am just going to move ahead in life. I was 17 when I fell for him.” She further explained that it’s difficult to forget someone at that age. She also shared that Bigg Boss happened for her and Ali followed her to the show without her knowledge.
Sara even revealed that Ali was manipulating her and that he convinced her to get married to save face outside the show. She explained, “My bond with Ashmeet was seen in the wrong way. He was convinced I was looking like a fool outside. He told me that if we get married in the house, it will all be fine. I thought if that’s what it takes then let’s do it.” She added that she was stupid to believe him then and he started cheating on her again when they came out of the house. “Not one, but several women. I thought kahin toh rukega,” she added. Sara also shared that since their marriage wasn’t legal, they broke it off and she’s had relationships after him. She also stated that had she been in his position, she wouldn’t have participated in Lock Upp knowing he was there.
