No matter how much we think star kids have it easy, it’s not really the case. They may get access to enter the film fraternity easier than an outsider but they do have their own battles. Don’t they have to live up to and carry forward the family legacy? These celebs are constantly under the public eye and netizen’s scrutiny. They have to look good every time they step out because they’re a public figure. Amidst all this, they are often subjected to slut-shaming and body-shaming.

Sara Ali Khan is one such celeb who has worked day and night to shed weight in order to become fit and healthy.

In a conversation with a magazine, she shared her journey. The Simmba actress said, “For me, it all started in New York. I weighed 96kg and had a year to go before I graduated. The transition from pizza to salad and from lethargy to cardio is how I kickstarted my fitness journey. I simply started eating healthy and began working out when in New York. There were so many different types of classes in that city, from functional training to boxing to cycling. But because I was so overweight at the start, it was more about cardio-heavy workouts like walking, cycling and hitting the treadmill—so that I could lose the weight before entering the intermediate forms of exercise.”

Speaking about her current fitness routine, she said, “It’s pretty eclectic; it’s a combination of functional training, Pilates, boxing and cardio. I like to change things up, but ensure that I work out for an hour and a half every single day—except on Sunday, because that’s my day to chill.”

If you want to maintain a healthy lifestyle, take cues from Sara, won’t you?
