It started with Sara Ali Khan confessing about her crush on the Luka Chuppi actor Kartik Aaryan on Karan Johar’s chat show Koffee With Karan. Then, the news spread like wildfire. Interestingly, Sara had quite a lot to do with this piece of news becoming the talk of every tabloid.
Her Simmba co-star Ranveer Singh made Kartik and Sara meet and the internet couldn’t stop raving about the video that surfaced online.
Later when Kartik made his own Koffee With Karan debut, he said in reply to Sara’s request that she just needs to tell him the time and place, and he’d be there. He also said, “I am trying to earn more and more money right now. Saif sir said, ‘Does he have money?’ She is a princess. So, you know to ask her out on a date, I would require a certain bank balance.”
For the past few weeks, Kartik, Sara and Ananya Panday’s triangle is all that gossip magazines have been talking about. Fans who were eagerly waiting to see the duo pair up onscreen went berserk when the news of Kartika and Sara starring in Love Aaj Kal 2 came out.
Many pictures and videos of them shooting together went viral online. They were spotted riding on a bike in Delhi. One video reportedly showing the two kissing on the dance floor for a scene. On being asked about the video, Kartik said, “Was that really Sara and me?”

The two have been enjoying all the attention they’re getting from fans, media and paps without admitting to dating each other.
Recently, Sara made a big revelation and we’re still processing it. In a conversation with a daily, Sara said, “If you knew all the thoughts I have but don’t do anything about, I promise we would get over this Kartik Aaryan thing.”
Just when we thought the two will be the next it couple in B-town, Sara’s statement crushed our hopes. The way it snowballed, Sara probably wants to get over it already.
At least we all got a movie out of it. Can’t complain about that, can we now?
