Sania Mirza’s Instagram feed is one happy place. Whether it’s the videos of her flexing at the gym, her fab OOTDs or candid moments with her son, Izhaan, we certainly love every moment of it. Once a while, Sania shares cutesy pictures with her sister, Anam, which makes me wish I had a sister too!
Recently, our favourite tennis star confirmed a rumour that was going around for quite some while now. Can you guess what it is?
No, Sania is not expecting another baby.
Congratulations are in order for Sania’s fashionista sister, Anam Mirza who is all set to tie the knot with her longtime beau, Asad Azharuddin in December this year. Azad is the son of former India captain Mohammad Azharuddin.
Anam and Asad have known each other for a long time now and Anam’s *bride-to-be* post on Instagram made us wonder if indeed there was something brewing.
And if we ever had our doubts, Sania calling Azad “Family ❤️” made everything clear.
Anam’s latest posts on Instagram are filled with photos of her having a gala time in Paris with Sania and her gal-pals! The hints were right in front of our eyes, the entire time! Maybe it was a bachelorette?
Sania told a leading newspaper, “She (Anam) is actually getting married in December. We just came back from her bachelorette trip in Paris. We are really excited. She is marrying a lovely boy. His name is Asad and he happens to be the son of Mohammad Azharuddin and we are really excited about it.” Aww, look how happy Sania sounds. We bet she can’t wait to see her sister in her gorgeous bridal avatar! We can’t wait either.
Discussing her own marriage, Sania recently revealed that she was once asked to stop playing as “no one would marry” her if her complexion turned “dark” due to the rigours of an outdoor sport.
Sania’s hilarious BFF, Farah Khan also shared this cute candid on Instagram last month.
Currently, Sania is taking a break from kicking-ass at tennis and is focussing on her son instead. She is expected to be back on the court by next year, January.
