You know who was in the rasoda, right? Of course, you do! There’s hardly a soul in this country who doesn’t. It was Rashi who created the entire saajish *rolls eyes* and Kokila who figured it out. Not trying to boast or anything, but a lot of us knew about it way before Yashraj Mukhate’s rap Rasode Mein Kaun Tha became a rage on the internet. Because Saath Nibhaana Saathiya was one iconic daily soap that fans loved to binge-watch.
And, while the new season of the series has a similar plot, it’s not really the same. You know what I mean? There’s no Gopi bahu who is innocently trying to please her husband by washing his gadgets with soap and water. And, there’s no Ahem ji being grumpy for no reason at all. Basically, the new season lacks the OG feels and if you agree with us, then we have something for you.
It’s finally happening! The real rasoda queens of Indian television are all set to spread their magic once again. Yep, a prequel of the show is making its way back (literally) on our TV screen. And, here comes the best part—apparently, the OG lead actors, Gia Manek, Mohammad Nazim and Rupal Patel, will reprise their roles as Gopi, Ahem and Kokila respectively. Don’t know about you fam, but we are hella excited about this!
While the upcoming show is a prequel of SNS and will revolve around Ahem and Gopi, it will be called Tera Mera Saath Rahe. The shooting was supposed to begin already, but was delayed due to Rupal’s health. A little birdie revealed that now the actress is doing better, the production will resume in the next few days. They said, “The shoot, which was scheduled to commence in the first week of July, had to be postponed by a couple of weeks. We couldn’t have begun the shoot without her, as her character is crucial to the storyline. We are glad that she has recovered and is on the set with us. She will join the unit for the shoot in a couple of days.”
While talking to a leading daily, Rupal’s secretary also confirmed it and said, “Yes, everything has fallen into place, and she is a part of the show. She will commence the shoot in a day or two.”
So, the plot of the new show will be quite similar to the original series. Gopi and Ahem will marry and the former will try to win everyone’s heart at her sasural. But, we do hope that this time, the protagonist will take a stand for herself and will not allow anyone to treat her badly.
Hey Yashraj, hope you are ready to make some new Rasoda raps ‘coz we are hella excited!
