What was your biggest takeaway from Bigg Boss 14? I’ll tell you mine—Rubina Dilaik is a star! NGL, I had watched only a few episodes of her show Shakti Astitva Ke Ekhsaas Ki before she had entered the BB house. And, while I always knew that she’s a terrific actress, it was her fearless personality that blew my mind. Not to forget, her fashion choices were (still are) LIT AF. Well, it seems that our filmmakers are smart enough to recognise talent quickly. Rubina is all set to make her Bollywood debut and we’re hella excited!
That’s right. We are going to watch the diva on the big screen very soon along with another popular TV actor, Hiten Tejwani!
The movie, called Ardh, will mark the directorial debut of music composer and singer Palaash Muchhal as well. It will also star Rajpal Yadav and shooting will begin in September this year. Film critic Taran Adarsh shared a collage of the actors on his social media handle and wrote in the caption, “RUBINA DILAIK MAKES BIG SCREEN DEBUT… Music composer #PalaashMuchhal – who turns director with #Ardh – has signed #RubinaDilaik for the film… #Palaash has also signed #HitenTejwani for the project… #Ardh stars #RajpalYadav… Filming starts Sept 2021.” Take a look:
Wanna take a stroll down memory lane? Then hear this out—Hiten and Rubina will share screen after 11 years! They were last seen together on their show Choti Bahu. Wow, that made us quite nostalgic. While talking about it, the actor said during a recent interview with a leading daily that he’d meet with the BB 14 winner after more than a decade. He said, “We worked in ‘Choti Bahu’ together and had a nice working equation. It will be nice to share screen space with her again. We will be meeting after 11 years. We haven’t met after Choti Bahu at all. We haven’t met yet while signing the film.”
While talking about his co-stars, Hiten said, “Rubina is easy to work with. I am also looking to work with Rajpal Yadav who is a wonderful actor. I almost immediately said yes to the film after hearing the story and my role. It’s a slice-of-life film.”
After winning our hearts and the trophy in Bigg Boss 14, we are sure that the actress will dazzle us once again with her debut movie. Can we get a release date already?!
