Yes, the couple is getting married today in Rajasthan and we just cannot keep calm! The soon-to-be Mr and Mrs kept us guessing about their shaadi till the very last moment and the secrecy was too much to handle. All the confusion about their hush wedding gave air to some of the most bizarre rumours we heard this year. While it was later revealed that most of these claims were fake, sadly, the baseless tittle-tattles have still not stopped.
The latest buzz is that Katrina’s ex, Ranbir Kapoor’s songs have been banned from the ceremonies and his girlfriend, Alia Bhatt, has not been invited to the wedding. TBH, it’s surprising because we all know that Kat and Alia share a close bond IRL and are B-town besties.
Several people were quick to point out the Raazi actress’s absence from the #VicKatWedding and even trolled her for it. Well, those netizens can calm the hell down because they are not going to get any scandalous drama they have been looking for. It turns out that Alia was invited to the wedding after all, but couldn’t attend it due to professional commitments.
A little birdie has revealed that Alia was quite excited to attend Vicky and Kat’s wedding, but had to drop her plans due to a sudden change in her schedule. She has to attend the trailer launch of her upcoming movie, RRR, and while spilling the deets, they said, “Alia Bhatt was invited by both Vicky and Katrina and was also very keen on attending the wedding in Ranthambore, however, she had already given her dates to be a part of the RRR trailer. Sadly, the launch was delayed by a few days and is happening now and so Alia couldn’t help but miss the wedding.”
NGL, we’re feeling a tad bit disappointed that the actress will not be able to attend the wedding of her two close friends. We all know that Alia is an amazing bridesmaid and to not watch her perform at their sangeet is surely a bummer for her fans.
While the Gangubai Kathiawadi actress will not be attending the shaadi, she is all set to be a part of their grand reception that will be held in Mumbai soon. On the work front, Alia and Kat will share screen space in their upcoming movie, Jee Le Zaraa, and will take us on a fun road trip.
So, Alia is not a part of the 120 guests that are attending the wedding, but we’re sure that her best wishes are with the couple, who BTW, is all set to tie the knot in a few hours. We said it before and we will say it again, we cannot wait to see the pics already!
