We all have that one movie we keep going back to whenever we’re running out of interesting shows and flicks to watch. My fave has been Gully Boy for the longest time. I love the plot, the songs, Murad’s epic win at the end, and Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt’s on-screen jodi. There’s something so fresh about this pair, hai na? Now ever since Gully Boy, fans have been eagerly awaiting to watch these two romance each other one more time. If you have been too, we’ve got something really exciting to tell you! Can’t wait? Read on to find out.
Well, turns out Karan Johar is all set to make a love story with Alia and Ranveer. No, we’re not messing with you. The movie, titled Prem Kahani, is a light-hearted romantic comedy. A little birdie also told us that it’s gonna be one of those classic KJo films with a larger-than-life romance.
The filmmaker wanted the movie to go on floors in the month of May this year but had to postpone his plans due to the pandemic. Bummer! However, we’re glad to share with you that the prep for the movie has begun. A source close to the film revealed that the makers wanted to keep a relatable title for the movie and that’s how they zeroed in on Prem Kahani. The source was quoted saying, “The film is essentially a love story of two completely opposite characters, and the audience will get a glimpse of vintage Karan Johar, whose films at one point, were just meant to spread happiness, and take the audience in a fairy tale world.” The filmmaker and his writing team are also done working on the script and dialogues.
Wondering when the movie will finally start filming? The source added that before the makers can go on floors with the first schedule, the crew of the movie will have to be vaccinated. The makers are also on the lookout for the sets in isolation before they start filming. That’s not all, the source also said that “It’s all work in progress with set designing and other aspects being looked after in isolation. The music settings have also begun, as being a romantic saga, there lies ample scope for good music.”
Oh BTW, Alia and Ranveer are also part of Karan Johar’s Takht, which was supposed to go floors in May 2020 but was pushed ahead due to COVID-19.
Oh boy, I really cannot wait to watch this flick. I’ve always enjoyed a KJo movie and knowing that Prem Kahani’s got Alia and Ranveer has got me all the more excited. Here’s hoping that it’s out ASAP!
