A source has shared with an online media portal that the Shaktimaan film is in the making and Ranveer has been offered the role. And while the actor is yet to sign the film, he is reportedly keen on saying “yes” to the project. The source adds, “Ranveer has shown a keen interest in playing Shaktimaan, the Indian superhero. The makers too feel that Ranveer can bring a natural charisma to the superhero character, who was first introduced in 1997. Talks are on with the actor and the team.”
Ranveer Singh as Shaktimaan (earlier played by Mukesh Khanna) sounds like an interesting casting choice and if he plays his cards right, he has got what it takes to revive the character. The best part? The film has been announced by Mukesh Khanna’s creative agency, Bheeshm International which means that the OG Shaktimaan will be closely watching the production and will ensure to recreate the kind of magic that every 90s kid has witnessed before. We hear that the production house is planning a trilogy based on the 1997 show and really hope Ranveer agrees to do the part because he is gonna kill it!
