Ranbir Kapoor has been busy promoting his upcoming film Shamshera that is all set to hit the theatres this Friday. The actor who didn’t talk about his personal life before, has been pretty candid in his recent interviews. Recently, Ranbir had a candid interview with YouTuber & actress Prajakta Koli and shared some interesting stories. He also revealed how actor Aamir Khan gave him advice a long time ago!
In the interview, RK was asked if he had any advice for 13-14-year olds who aspire to become actors. This is when Ranbir recalled an advice he received from Aamir Khan. He said, “Aamir Khan had told me this before I became an actor which I didn’t really understand back then. I just thought ‘kya bol raha hai (what is he saying?).’ But he told me that before you become an actor, what I suggest you do is pack a bag and just travel around India. Most of us (have) grown up in luxury, who are privileged (and) don’t really know our country, culture, and how diverse it is.”
The actor further expressed his regret about not taking up this advice and said, “I didn’t do it when I should have. Now that I am an actor and am recognised, it becomes harder for me to travel. Aamir Khan had told me to travel by bus and trains. I can’t do that anymore.” He concluded by saying that even though he failed to follow the advice back then, youngsters aspiring to become actors now should definitely do it.
We don’t blame you RK. When we’re young, we tend to not take older people seriously. But we’re sure that budding actors will DEFINITELY take up this advice because let’s face it, it’s difficult to not listen to anything that comes out of Ranbir Kapoor’s mouth! *inserts heart-eye emoji*
