Ranbir Kapoor has been surprising his fans with one massive transformation after another. After having a lean body most of his life, the actor has bulked up significantly for his role in Animal. He also shaved off his bushy beard and now resembles the YJHD Ranbir, albeit a little larger. After wrapping up his shoot, RK is currently vacay-ing with wifey, Alia Bhatt in Dubai. While the duo has not shared any pictures from the trip, a few fans have. One such picture was shared by a restaurant owner in Dubai, and the internet is not happy with Ranbir’s look. Alia and Ranbir twinned in black as they stepped out for a romantic dinner date in Dubai. While Alia looked stunning in a black maxi dress, RK opted for a black shirt and matching skinny jeans. The all-black look, halfway unbuttoned shirt, and super skinny jeans exuded a major Harry Styles vibe, but the internet was not pleased. Since Ranbir has bulked up his upper body, his legs were appearing to be skinnier as compared to his upper body. As a result, the slim jeans weren’t the ideal choice.
A Redditor uploaded the picture with the caption, “Not an Alia stan, but she looks good here. But what’s with RK? Why does he look so stiff?” This started an entire thread! One user wrote, “Dear Ranbir’s designer, his legs are thin. Stop making him wear skinny jeans. Pali hill’s basti ka hasti,” and another wrote, “I think it’s because Ranbir is bulky from top up but his legs are not toned so the body proportion looks odd and thus stiff.” Netizens pointed out the uneven weight loss since RK seems to be in the process of losing weight post Animal.
While most people were not pleased with Ranbir’s skinny jeans, a few also compared him to Sanjay Dutt. One user wrote, “Bro’s method acting game is so strong, he still hasn’t come out of Sanju’s character.” Most netizens were of the opinion that men need to get rid of skinny jeans and definitely not skip leg day!
Well, it isn’t easy to gain and lose weight as and when a role demands. Ranbir Kapoor has always done a phenomenal job getting into a certain character and we need to give him some time to bounce back to his normal self!
