Karan Johar has been in the spotlight of late. Whether it is for the buzz around his movie Brahmāstra or his OMG comments on his love life, Karan is constantly turning heads. There has also been tons of anticipation about the return of his much-awaited talk-show Koffee With Karan Season 7! While we’re sure it’s going to be nothing short of fabulous, we’re surprised to hear that Ranbir Kapoor won’t be returning to the couch.
Curious to know the reason? In a recent interview, Karan revealed why Ranbir has refused to make it to this season of Koffee. “Ranbir Kapoor has already told me ‘I am not coming on your show’. He is like, ‘I’d have to pay the price for too long. I should not do this to myself’.” Imitating Ranbir, Karan added, “Mujhe please show pe mat bulao (Please do not invite me to your show).”
Ranbir had also said in an interview way back in 2017 that he was ‘forced’ to appear on the show’s fifth season. “I am tired. I was forced this season. I told him ‘I don’t wanna come’. Me and Anushka (Sharma) were actually going to protest and bring the entire film industry together because it’s not fair,” he said.
While we’re devastated to hear that Ranbir won’t appear this season, we’re still looking forward to all the glam and goss that the show will bring forward! According to the grapevine, new faces such as Kiara Advani and Siddhant Chaturvedi are said to leave you entertained on the infamous Koffee couch. Besides this, many superstars from the south such as Jr. NTR, Ramcharan, and Rashmika Mandanna are all set to make their Koffee debut! The all-new season of Koffee With Karan is reportedly set to premiere on Disney+ Hotstar sometime later this year and we’re already glueing ourselves to the screen waiting with anticipation!
