The actor has even mentioned taking a paternity break to focus solely on Raha. Recently, RK opened up about the first-ever present he gifted his daughter and how it has a special connection to his lucky number, 8!
Significance Of The Number 8
By now, everyone knows that 8 is Ranbir’s lucky number. Even Alia’s wedding attire and engagement ring had a connection to the number. The actor previously revealed the significance of the number, stating that he “connected” with it because his mother Neetu Kapoor’s birthday is on July 8, and “it looks like an infinity.” Hence, the new father made certain that the first gift he gave his daughter was also linked to the number.
Ranbir’s Present To Raha!
When asked about the first thing he bought for his daughter, Ranbir said, “A sneaker. A really small sneaker. A Nike sneaker and a Barcelona jersey in her size with her name and the number 8.” Last year, when the new parents announced their daughter’s name, we also got a glimpse of Raha’s mini Barcelona jersey that was framed and showcased on their wall.
In the same interview, Ranbir also revealed that he clicked Raha’s first-ever photo because “Alia was not in the condition” after her delivery. Speaking about who was the first one from the family to hold Raha, he said, “It was either Soni Aunty or my mum or Shaheen, between the three of them. I don’t clearly remember because everything was such a daze.”
Why Ranbir Doesn’t Want Raha To Have Alia’s Personality
In a previous interview, Ranbir mentioned that while he hopes Raha looks like Alia, he doesn’t want her to have her mother’s personality. Adding to this, he said, “Alia has a very loud personality, talks a lot, and she’s very vivacious. Two girls at home like this would be quite a daunting task for me. I hope Raha is a bit more quiet and demure like me so then we both can handle Alia.”
