Yes, we’re talking about Rajkummar Rao and Patralekha’s beautiful wedding that happened in Chandigarh on November 15 last year. The couple said ‘I do’ after dating for over a decade and their shaadi pics made us so emotional. The actor had taken to his Instagram handle and wrote, “Finally after 11 years of love, romance, friendship and fun, I got married to my everything today, my soulmate, my best friend, my family. Today there is no greater happiness for me than being called your husband @patralekhaa. While talking to a leading daily recently, Rajkummar talked about his wife and couldn’t stop praising her. He said, “t’s a beautiful feeling. I am so elated to be married to Patralekhaa. She is my best friend, the love of my life, my family and my everything.”
Rajkummar got candid about the changes he experienced after marriage and it’s warming our hearts. He said that the new chapter of his life completed him in different ways and added, “Something changes on a subconscious level. I feel more complete now. We are still getting used to the idea of being husband and wife. I love calling her wife now, just for fun, though.”
The actor shared that he feels the same excitement while talking to his ladylove, that he felt when he started dating her a decade ago. He said, “People often say that after 11 years of being together, the desire to talk is not the same as it is in the first or second year of a relationship. With us, it’s the opposite. Our interactions and the span of our interactions have only increased.”
Interestingly, the couple now has a post-wedding ritual as well. The two make sure to connect with each other over video calls when they get a break from their shooting. “We are just the way we were. We talk to each other a lot throughout the day if we are out on our respective shoots. And we talk at length! Thanks to technology, we connect over video calls,” Rajkummar said.
That’s so sweet! The actor is currently busy with the promotion of his upcoming movie, Badhai Do that’s slated to release on February 11 in theatres. Well, the duo sure knows how to always keep the romance alive and we’re defs taking notes.
