RajKummar Rao and Patralekhaa Paul have really kept us on our toes in the past couple of weeks. It all started as the grapevine went abuzz with the rumours of the couple’s upcoming wedding. Soon enough, their friends were talking about the shaadi as well. However, both RajKummar and Patralekhaa kept mum throughout. It was only on Saturday night that we could be sure of what was happening. The pictures of their fairytale engagement party took over our Instagram feeds. Naturally, we spent the next day eagerly waiting for their shaadi pictures. Sadly, it was a futile exercise and turns out, that the couple is getting married today. Oh, and this information we can share with absolute certainty given that we have finally managed to get our hands on the couple’s wedding card.
Ahead of RajKummar and Patralekhaa’s Chandigarh wedding today, their invitation card has been leaked online and well it has indeed calmed our anxieties by revealing the when and where of the event. “Rao family and Paul family invite you for the wedding of Patralekhaa (Daughter of Ajit Paul and Papri Paul) with Rajkummar (Son of Kamlesh Yadav and Satyaprakash Yadav) Monday 15th Nov ‘21 Oberoi Sukhvilas Chandigarh,” the card reads and we are in awe of its minimalistic design.
The wedding card has been done on a soothing teal blue base with water colour lotuses adorning the bottom and gold chandeliers highlighting the top. It has been inscribed in gold and white and has a very understated albeit classy appeal to it. Besides the card’s design, it is also the wedding venue that has caught our eye. Chandigarh’s Oberoi Sukhvilas is known across the country for its quaint charm and an old-world vibe. Located at the foothills of the Himalayas, the property occupies 8,000 acres of area in the sprawling Siswan Forest Range and it is as dreamy as it gets.
Apart from RajKummar and Patralekhaa’s wedding card, we also have the scoop on the bride’s D-day outfit. Given that it is going to be an intimate event, she will be ditching the heavy lehenga for a Sabyasachi saree. “Patralekhaa will be wearing a gorgeous Sabyasachi saree for her shaadi. Apart from the pheras, there will also be other rituals, for which she has picked up a few options. Patralekhaa’s brief to Sabya was elegant but minimalistic. She didn’t want something that was very heavy to walk in and wanted to feel comfortable as well,” one of her friends has revealed.
Well, now that we know all about the date and venue of this much-awaited celeb wedding, we can’t wait to see RajKummar and Patralekhaa in their bride-groom avatars. Here’s hoping that they grace our timelines with their gorgeous shaadi pictures soon!
