Congratulations are in order for new mom and dad Rajeev Sen and television actress Charu Asopa! The couple welcomed their first child today and it’s *drumroll please* a baby girl! The happy news was shared by Rajeev’s sister and Bollywood actress Sushmita Sen on social media and we now have a wonderful reason to celebrate.
Sushmita shared a photo of herself from the hospital and penned the sweetest note for the baby girl. She wrote, “#answeredprayers Lakshmi arrives just before Diwali!! IT’S A GIRL!!!! Congratulations @asopacharu & @rajeevsen9 …what a beauty she is!! BECAME A BUA THIS MORNING #sooooooohapppyyyyyy Not allowed to share baby pictures yet, so sharing mine from just before Charu delivered our little Angel I was blessed to witness it!!! Later, the new-mom Charu shared the first picture of her daughter on the ‘Gram. She penned, “Blessed with a baby girl ❤️ Thank u Rajeev for always being there for me , love you .. Thank u all for your love & prayers.. Thank u God “
Rajeev also shared the same picture and gave an update about the Baal Veer actress’ health. He penned, “Blessed with a baby girl Charu is doing fine & fit .. So proud of my wife for being strong right till the end .. Thank you all for your prayers .. Thank you God ”
In an earlier interview, Charu spoke about her motherhood journey. She said, “It has been good so far. My mother has come here, and so has the entire family. A lot of festivals are lined up, and I’m getting pampered a lot. I’m working from home, I can’t just sit, I’ve always been a very ambitious, work-oriented person, I can’t rest. So, I’ve been doing a little bit of work, like collaborations and all. It’s a good thing”
