Just like her unconventional movies and phenomenal performances, Netflix’s beloved (and ours too) Radhika Apte doesn’t fail to delight us with her fabulous fashion sense. The latest evidence of her brilliant style choices comes from the green carpet of IIFA Rocks 2019 held in Mumbai.
Radhika defined elegance in this silver shimmery gunmetal jumpsuit with flared bottoms by fashion designer Nikhil Thampi. The side cutouts and huge button detailing add a touch of glam to the ensemble. Her makeup was done by MUA Kritika Gill, who kept it minimal to complement the outfit. Her hair was neatly done in a bun and she completed the look with a pair of oversized studs by Khanna Jewellers.
Not just the Parched star, the event witnessed several celebrities walking the green carpet at their fashionable best. Katrina Kaif deserves a special mention here. The diva made a head-turning appearance in a wine-red floor-length gown. Doesn’t she look ethereal?
Richa Chaddha looked uber-stylish in a metallic thigh-high slit dress and Rakul Preet Singh lit up the green carpet in a golden pantsuit.
The event had some mind-blowing performances by singers like Tulsi Kumar, Neha Kakkar and Jassi Gill and showcased collections of ace designers Shantanu-Nikhil and Kunal Rawal.
IIFA Rocks is a precursor to the main IIFA Awards that celebrates the people involved backstage. Radhika was co-hosting the event with actor Ali Fazal and the duo looked drop-dead gorgeous together. On a related note, did you know Ali Fazal just landed a role in Hollywood movie Death On The Nile opposite Gal Gadot?!
IIFA Awards is being hosted in India for the first time since its inception. The 20th edition, aptly called The Homecoming Edition, will be held in Mumbai. Talking about what she likes best about IIFA, Radhika said that the event is like a vacation wherein celebs get to stay together in a hotel for three days. “I think the whole idea of IIFA going abroad and all of us staying in the same hotel, it’s like a small holiday taken together. It’s the most special about IIFA awards because in other awards you come the evening, meet everybody, and go back home, but this like a three day holiday and all of us together, that’s very special,” she said.
On the work front, Radhika was last seen in Sriram Raghavan’s Award-winning film Andhadhun, opposite Ayushmann Khurrana. She will next be seen in Honey Trehan’s Raat Akeli Hai with Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
