No matter how big a star Priyanka Chopra becomes, she will always come back to her desi roots. Recently, both, she and her beau, Nick Jonas, were declared the ‘Best Dressed of the Year’. Following which, she did an interview with a popular magazine and one of the questions was about her most treasured possessions.
The which she promptly said, “My mangalsutra. In an Indian wedding, it’s a necklace the groom ties around the bride’s neck. And a diamond ring my dad gave me.” According to the actress, her father was one of the closest people to her. She lost her father to cancer in 2013. If you noticed, PeeCee also has a tattoo that reads, “Daddy’s lil girl” on her right wrist.
Apart from the diamond ring and tattoo, she also carries gold coins which were given to her by her father. Apparently, she believes they bring her good luck. She also added that she wore not one, but two wedding dresses for her shaadi. She said it made her feel happy and the wedding turned out to be exactly how she envisioned it to be.
PeeCee also admits to not being a fan of bandage dresses and super tight clothes. For style inspiration, she’s always looked up to Audrey Hepburn and Marilyn Monroe. According to her, shoes are the most powerful item in anyone’s wardrobe. However, the sexiest thing a person could own is their confidence. True that, our desi girl!
In case you’re wondering what Priyanka Chopra is up to on the professional front, she will be soon seen a Bollywood film, The Sky Is Pink. Directed by Shonali Bose, the film is going to hit the silver screens this October. Apart from Priyanka Chopra, Farhan Akhtar and Zaira Wasim are starring the film too. She’s also going to be starring in one of Netflix’s original films, The White Tiger, along with Rajkummar Rao. The film is about a man who works at a tea-shop in a village and later becomes a successful entrepreneur in a big city. To achieve it, success, murder, love and deceit become part of the story plot.
