Just when we all saw a glimmer of hope coming our way with the COVID-19 vaccines, the new strain of coronavirus has left us with far too many uncertainties. As the mutant virus continues to spread in the United Kingdom, the country’s administration has imposed a tier 4 lockdown in various areas. In order to prevent it from spreading further, numerous countries, including India, have banned flights from the UK.
This is why a large number of people are stranded in the country including B-town star Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Grand Masti actor Aftab Shivdasani. According to media reports, both actors will have to stay in the UK for the time being.
PC has been in London shooting for the Hollywood romantic drama Text For You since November 29. According to reports, the filming was to go on till January 2021 but has been put on hold due to the emergence of the new strain of COVID-19. The production house is now in talks with the UK authorities in a bid to seek special permission to travel back to the US. But reports suggest that the procedure may take time as the UK administration has imposed stricter curbs.
Amid the reports of her being stranded in the UK, Priyanka posted a throwback picture with her pet dog panda with a caption that read, “Miss You.”
Awww!
The Quantico actress had earlier shared a picture from the sets of Text For You where she was seen wearing a face shield. In her caption she listed all the COVID-19 prevention measures being taken by the production team.
On the other hand, Aftab Shivdasani was scheduled to begin working on his home production after returning from the UK but his project has been put on hold, as the actor is stranded. Aftab had flown to the UK earlier this month to spend some quality time with his wife Nin Dusanj and newborn daughter Nevaeh. Speaking to the media, Aftab stated that the family will not be going to any public places and won’t take any risks as their daughter is very young. Aftab and Nin welcomed their first child in August this year.
FYI, Sonam Kapoor Ahuja has also been in the UK with her husband Anand Ahuja since July this year. According to reports, the couple will spend the holiday season in the country amid the rise in COVID-19 cases.
Well, we hope all our fave celebs stay safe, healthy and test negative!
