The Woman Redefining India’s Graphic Design Language
An architect by profession and illustrator by passion, Aashti Miller is blending the two to create avant-garde designs. In 2019, the Cornell graduate started MillerInk Graphics, an illustration and graphic design studio. It has now become a sought-after destination for cutting-edge design and evocative illustrations. Meanwhile, she continues to collaborate with the renowned architectural firm, Pickard Chilton. Aashti’s fresh aesthetic has led to many coveted collaborations with brands like Michael Kors, St+art India Fondation, and Cred. In 2020, Aashti designed medals for the four marathons in India, organised by Procam International. The multi-layered design served as a symbol of resilience and hope during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Power Move
In 2022, Aashti collaborated with Michael Kors to design a Diwali special limited-edition bag collection. The vibrant lotus, elephant, and lantern motifs were rooted in India’s culture and represented the festive spirit of the country. Her illustration work also took her to Birmingham, UK, for the 2022 Commonwealth Games where she painted murals with other artists of international renown.
