If there’s one TV actor that we cannot get enough of, it’s gotta be Sidharth Shukla. Tall, strong and great acting skills, it’s really not hard to guess what makes him our favourite. And when you think of him, it’s easy for you to go back to his Balika Vadhu days. This role made him a household name and soon fans started referring to him as Shivraj (his character name).
You may be wondering where we’re going with this? Well, believe it or not, it’s quite common for our Indian audience to start looking at an actor as the character they play. And it becomes difficult for them to break away from that. Oh, the struggles of being an actor!
Sidharth seems to agree with us as he recently opened up about how he faces typecasting. He revealed that his life had changed post Big Boss as people started loving him for who he is.
“Bigg Boss definitely changed things because people no longer loved me for a character I played but rather for the real Sidharth. I feel blessed today to have the love of so many who are now in some way or the other attached to me, my work and all that I do,” the actor shared.
Sidharth is currently playing Agastya Rao in Broken But Beautiful 3. He plays the role of a temperamental writer-director and fans are loving his flawed character.
Wondering what made the actor choose to experiment? Turns out, it’s because the Dil Se Dil Tak actor fell for the character the moment he heard the script. He added, “There have been times when I have gone through similar situations or felt similarly emotionally. However, the ways he tries to cope with it are quite different from what I would do.”
Oh, also, is it just me or have you too noticed Sidharth being more active on social media? Commenting on the same, he said that, “I am grateful to them for all they have done for me and in my own capacity I try to stay in touch as much as possible.” Can’t say we’re complaining!
