Belgium born Nihar Parikh first met Payal Shah when he was visiting his cousins in Hong Kong more than ten years ago. Payal, well known for her bold jewellery brand under the label L’Dezen, was born and raised in Hong Kong. She is the daughter of a diamond merchant and he comes from the family of rough diamond dealers. They later went to the same university in London and started dating two years after graduation.
In January 2014, the couple announced their engagement and Nihar presented her with the first pieces of rough diamond he had ever invested in. He always knew Payal wanted to design her own ring! It took a month for L’Dezen’s craftsmen to finish the ring, and the proposal took place at the Pont Neuf Bridge, where he proposed with the Eiffel Tower lit up in the background.

The Mehendi
The celebrations took place in Mumbai and their rooftop mehendi was chic and stylish in every possible way!
Payal chose to wear a red and dark pink dhoti saree by Anamika Khanna. She accessorised it with floral jewellery and a pearl necklace that the bride designed herself.

The Wedding
Everything about the bride’s look is just so royal. From her gorgeous polki layered necklaces to the elaborate mathapatti…sigh!

This is the prettiest mandap we’ve ever laid eyes on! So stunning! The wedding took place at Mumbai’s NSCI Club.
