Pathaan ko rokna mushkil hi nahi, namumkin hai! After breaking more than 100 box-office records, Shah Rukh Khan’s comeback venture has registered yet another feat. Pathaan is the first and the only film that got the Burj Khalifa boulevard, Dubai to shut down for the shoot! Scroll down to know the details:
The Action Sequence Shot That Made It Happen
Do you remember the high-octane fight between Jim (John Abraham) and Pathaan (Shah Rukh Khan) when they see eye to eye for the first time? The whole sequence was shot around the Burj Khalifa. Despite being one of the busiest streets of Dubai, the entire 3.5 km stretch surrounding the building was shut down for this scene. Director Siddharth Anand recalled the experience in a BTS video shared by YRF. Check it out:

From producers paying a bomb to clean up the tire marks to the Dubai authorities extending their support, there was surely a lot that went into the making of this iconic scene. But it was all worth the pain, right?
Only SRK Could Have Done This
We’ve seen Tom Cruise’s epic climb on top of the skyscraper in Mission Impossible 4: Ghost Protocol and enjoyed Akshay Kumar’s hit number Burj Khalifa from Laxmmi Bomb. Even though the biggest of stars have shot in and around Dubai’s landmark location, it has never been shut down completely for a shoot.
For SRK though, bade bade desho mein aisi chhoti chhoti baatein hoti rehti hain! For the last four years, the Burj Khalifa has been paying tribute to him on his birthday. The actor who is also the brand ambassador of Dubai Tourism enjoys massive fan following in the country.
SRK, you are the best. Pathaan pe koi doubt mat rakhna!
