It’s raining celebrity weddings and the next in line is none other than socialite and reality star Paris Hilton. Yes, the 36-year-old heiress is now engaged to actor Chris Zylka and made the announcement with an Instagram post yesterday. Apparently, the duo was on a ski trip in Aspen, Colorado when Zylka got down on one knee with a stunning 20-carat pear-shaped sparkler. He even hired professional photographers to capture that beautiful moment.
The proposal was a surprise and it was accompanied by a huge 20 carat, pear-shaped sparkler which is worth a whopping $2 million. As reported by People, the pear-shaped ring includes another two carats of smaller diamonds around the main rock which was inspired by Hilton’s mom Kathy’s diamond. Diamond expert and celebrity jeweller Michael Greene revealed about the ring:
“Paris at one point in time told Chris she really loved her mother’s pear-shaped diamond, and when Chris came to me that was his request,” Greene told PEOPLE exclusively of the inspiration behind the design. “The pear-shaped really jumped out for him and ultimately for her. He did some fishing, but in the end, it was all him. He’s a smart guy and hangs out a lot with the family, and I think she realized how much she liked her mom’s ring.”

Needless to say, Zylka will be a doting husband keeping in mind the efforts he put into the proposal! The rock definitely suits the millionaire heiress just fine!
