From the bright-eyed version that we first met, way back in 2008, to the most recent independent woman persona – there’s no denying that Anushka Sharma is a style chameleon! She has donned so many different looks – and hairstyles – through her time on the silver screen so far! Here are a some of the looks we have absolutely loved and admired for being a little bit different, bold and sometimes even edgy!
Anushka Sharma’s character, Taani played the doting housewife with a passion for dance in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. This was Anushka’s breakout role, and we think she looks fabulous as the simple girl next door!
Her next movie allowed Anushka to ditch the cutesy image straight away as Badmash Company saw her character, Bulbul, have a bold and sexy style that morphed throughout the movie. She carried it off effortlessly!
Band Baaja Baarat gave us one of Anushka’s most iconic looks as Shruti Kakkar – she plays a young, confident Delhi girl – who has all of the sass to go along with her style! She had a very normal, everyday look about her in this film – and yet still looked so glamourous! Must be that charisma!
Patiala House saw Anushka take on the role of the bubbly, vivacious Simran! Her fusion inspired costumes were flawless and the movie allowed her to channel a sexy but coy sense of desi elegance.
In Jab Tak Hai Jaan we got edgy Anushka. Miss Akira Rai wears leather pants, aviator sunglasses and an effortlessly cool attitude to go along with it! We love this look! It’s almost empowering and shows us that you don’t need to look like a “girlie girl” to be a strong woman!
One of Anushka’s most dramatic style transformations came in the film PK! Her pixie crop combined with her flowy dresses gave us a “don’t mess with me” look. The film was a massive success, and Anushka was widely praised for ditching her luscious locks for this role!
Though she is distressed through most of the film, and doesn’t get many glamourous outfit changes, NH10 proved that Anushka Sharma can pretty much rock anything and still make it look pretty fabulous.
Glamour, glamour, glamour galore! She looked fabulous – from the heaviest gown in Bollywood history to the dolled up – head-to-toe – in 1950s fancy apparel. She was basically the most elegant thing about this movie!
