With its beautiful portrayal of relationships, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani has been winning hearts. Be it the easter eggs in the movie or KJo spilling BTS deets, Bollywood buffs in us are happy soaking it all! However, did y’all know that some of the best scenes couldn’t make it to the final cut?
In a press conference of RARKPK, the cast got into a candid conversation with the media and spoke extensively about their film. Amid the chit-chat, Ranveer Singh revealed how he was a tad bit disappointed with the creative direction as some of his fave scenes from the movie had to be trimmed. Requesting Karan to include these scenes in the film’s OTT version, the actor said, “Sir, please put the extended version of the film when it streams. Log demand kar rahe hai ke Rani ka joh theme song tha, and the deleted scenes woh dekhe” (People are demanding that they want to see Rani’s theme songs and all deleted scenes) While the filmmaker didn’t give a clear ‘Yes’, he cryptically replied with a big smile, “We’ll see.”
For the unversed, the KJo directorial was originally supposed to be 3 hours and 10 minutes long. But his team edited out around 22 minutes of it. This included a scene in which Ranveer made an impromptu dialogue on the sets for Rocky’s character, “Love hai to sab hai.” It also included the end credits song Kudmayi, which was supposed to be a detailed wedding sequence and a few other hilarious scenes.
Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani entered the 50 Cr club within four days of its release. After ruling hearts in the theatres, the movie will be stream on Amazon Prime Videos. However, the final date is yet to be announced.
