Of course, I’m talking about the NYX Fat Oil Lip Drip. It’s the fattest, thickest gloss with an unprecedented formula and an even better colour profile. Let’s get into it!

What Is It?

The NYX Fat Oil Lip Drip is a high-shine ‘lip drip’. So basically like a combination of a lip gloss and a lip oil – the best of both worlds (like Hanna Montana used to say). It’s infused with vegan squalane and is allegedly said to deliver up to ’12 hours of hydration and protection’. The gloss comes in eight different variations, although today we’ll be talking about their deep brown shade – SCROLLIN.

Our Thoughts

Bros, I love this gloss. It is exactly what it says it is – a fat oil. Sits thickly on your lips and refuses to dry them out no matter how many times you need to apply/re-apply. The pigment is surprisingly buildable and the stickiness is bearable. The finish is not glittery, instead, it’s high-shine and thick, similar to an oil-like consistency. Plus the packaging is so ridiculously cute! It’s a small little bottle with a stopper that removes the excess gloss off your brush before you apply it. Fits anywhere, and I’m almost always carrying this for a quick touch-up on the go!

The only problem is the size of the applicator. I don’t really understand why lip gloss companies have started manufacturing such humungous applicators. I would just like to ask them to change it back to the normal size it used to be. It can also be a little heavy on the pocket as compared to other lip oils in the market, but it’s totally worth it! Other than that, no complaints. Love the shade, love the formula and love the finish!

How To Use It

There are no rules when it comes to this product. I use it by itself like a tinted lip gloss, but it also works well over nude lipsticks for a little shine. I often use this on my eyelids as well as my cheeks for an easier version of the Hailey Bieber-inspired latte look.
