We’ll be honest with you, we’ve been thinking about celebrity weddings all week. Can you blame us though? According to the grapevine, two celeb jodis might be getting hitched soon and we cannot wait! We’re talking about Alia Bhatt-Ranbir Kapoor and Kanika Kapoor-Gautam. Speaking of celebrity shaadis, we’ve also been waiting for Nushrratt Bharuccha’s wedding ever since her mother revealed that she’d be getting married back in 2020.
While talking to a leading daily, Nushrratt’s mum had stated that she wants her daughter to get hitched ASAP. She said, “We want her to settle down now. She is going to get married very soon, we are going to push her now.” Well, it’s been two years since and we’ve been waiting for the actress to give us an update—and guess what? She just did, and it’s honest AF.
During a recent interview, the actress shared that her mother is still eager to set her up with someone. She said, “Main ye bhi nahi bol sakti ki mummy aap ladka dhund lo, main shadi karlugi. Woh sach mein dhund lenge. Toh apne hi paer pe main kulhaadi nahi maar sakti (I can’t even tell my mother to find me a match, because she will. I can’t do this to myself). Best tip I can give anyone is don’t fight it. The more you fight it, the more kalesh (chaos) there will be and more they will force you to do something you don’t want to do,” she said.
She further revealed that she’s also meeting guys for matches. She said she goes out for dinner, has a good time and tells them that it’s not happening. That’s a nice tip now, no?
Well, single or married, we adore Nushrratt and hope she takes this huge decision only when she’s ready.
