Modern-day brides are breaking away from this tradition, with celebrity brides like Anushka Sharma, leading the way with pinks and other unconventional colours. But we can bet you that you wouldn’t know of any bride that chose pastel green to wear on her D-Day!
Well, Chigago-based Noor Kapoor decided that she didn’t care about the rules and opted to wear a gorgeous pastel-green Sabyasachi lehenga for her wedding to her American beau. The result? You’ll have to catch your breath:
Isn’t just stunning? The lehenga is glamorous and dressy and yet so subtle. The lehenga is embellished with elaborate goldwork, featured a matching choli and a sheer dupatta with jaali work. She further accessorised her look with a breathtaking diamond and emerald choker, a maang tikka and matching earrings. And you can’t miss her gorgeous bouquet of white and pastel pink flowers, talk about classy!
And can we just say how adorable it is that the groom colour-coordinated his outfit to match hers? The dashing groom wore an ivory sherwani, and accessorised it with a pastel green dupatta and sehri. Look at how cute they look together!
