Ever since we got an update about the return of Koffee With Karan, we have been wondering about the guest list. While we are sure that most A-listers will be making their way to the famous coach, the question remains—who’s going to arrive with whom?
A little birdie recently told us that Bollywood’s nayi dulhan Alia Bhatt will be the first guest on the show but there is a twist in the story. The actress won’t be attending the chat show with hubby Ranbir Kapoor, but her Gully Boy co-star Ranveer Singh. Cue the dramatic music!
According to a source close to Koffee With Karan’s development team, the shooting for the chat show will start next week and Alia and Ranveer have been invited for the first episode. TBH, it isn’t a surprise pairing as Karan, Alia and Ranveer have been working together on Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani for a while now and KJo is quite fond of the two.
NGL, we were expecting Ranbir Kapoor to arrive on the show with Alia, but now we wonder who we’ll appear with. We bet season 7 of Koffee With Karan will be full of masala!
When Karan Pranked Us All!
Earlier this week Karan broke our hearts when he took to the ‘Gram and revealed that Koffee With Karan is not making its way back on TV. He wrote, “Hello, Koffee with Karan has been a part of my life and yours, for 6 seasons now. I’d like to think we’ve made an impact and even found our place in pop culture history. And so, it is with a heavy heart that I announce that Koffee with Karan will not be returning. (sic)”
Later, the filmmaker shared another post and revealed that KwK has actually moved to a digital platform and the show will be returning soon. He penned, “Koffee with Karan will not be returning…on TV! Because every great story needs a good twist, I’m delighted to announce that Season 7 of Koffee With Karan will stream exclusively on Disney+ Hotstar! The biggest movie stars from across India will return to the couch to spill the beans while drinking some koffee. There will be games, there will be rumours put to rest – and there will be conversations that go deep, about love, loss and everything we’ve all been through over the last few years. Koffee With Karan, ’steaming’ soon, only on Disney + Hotstar. Toodles!”
ATM, we are just waiting for Karan to make an official announcement about the show’s first guests. We bet Alia and Ranveer will have a lot of tea to spill on the couch!
