Talks of the cancellation of Class 12 board exams have been doing the rounds for a few days now. Looks like the government has finally reached a conclusion as they announced their decision on Twitter recently. In light of the pandemic, the government decided to cancel the board exams for class 12 this year.
“Health and safety of our students are of utmost importance and there would be no compromise on this aspect,” said a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office. “Anxiety among students, parents and teachers, which must be put to an end. Students should not be forced to appear for exams in such a stressful situation,” it said.
