For a quick mask to fix excess oiliness in the face, we suggest peeling and finely grating a potato then mixing thoroughly with rose water and one tsp of lemon juice. Apply this mixture on the face for 15 minutes. Rinse with cold water.

For a quick mask to fix dry skin, do exactly the same as mentioned above except replace the lemon juice with one tsp of honey instead.

For an everyday toner, place a grated potato in a linen cloth and squeeze the juice out thoroughly. With a cotton ball, dab the juice on your face regularly every night before washing your face with cold water. The fact that it contains a host of vitamins as well as calcium, iron, phosphorus and copper, ensures bright and even skin with regular usage.

2. Rice Water, We See You!

To make a rice water concoction, rinse about ½ a cup of uncooked rice with a cup of water to remove any impurities or dirt. The clean uncooked rice should then be placed in a bowl then filled with water and kept to soak for 15 – 30 minutes. Tip: knead the rice slightly to ensure it’s cloudy so that the minerals and vitamins really seep into the water. Proceed to strain out your rice water and you’re done!

For a facial cleanser, dip a cotton ball in your rice water and gently massage it on your face for a couple of minutes. Thereafter, let your skin air dry. Daily usage will ensure bright and tight skin – after all it’s a super ancient beauty treatment fit for queens like you.
