All You Need To Know About Nandini Gupta, Miss India 2023 Winner

Pop the champagne ya’all coz 19-year-old Nandini Gupta has won the coveted title of Miss India 2023! The 59th edition of the competition took place on 15th April, 2023 and was hosted at the Khuman Lampak Stadium, Imphal, Manipur.

Along with Nandini, Shreya Poonja from Delhi was declared the first runner-up whereas Strela Thounaojam Luwang from Manipur was declared the second runner-up.

The 59th Femina Miss India competition saw contestants from 29 states and a collective representation from the union territories, making it a total of 30 contestants competing for the title. Miss India 2022, Sini Shetty, crowned Nandini Gupta from Rajasthan as her successor. After her big win, Nandini will now represent India at the 71st Miss World pageant, which will be held in the United Arab Emirates.

Who Is Nandini Gupta

19-year-old Nandini Gupta hails from Kota, Rajasthan. She has completed her schooling at St. Paul’s Senior Secondary School and currently, she is pursuing business management at Lala Lajpat Rai College. Nandini has hosted various events and she wishes to promote India’s handloom on an international level. Nandini is also keen on uplifting Kota Doriya artisans by helping them build their legacies.

In an interview, Nandini revealed the most influential person in her life. She said, “The most influential person in my life is Sir Ratan Tata, the man who does everything for humanity and donates most of it to charity. Loved by millions and always grounded.

She further added how Priyanka Chopra has been an inspiration for her, “Miss World 2000 Priyanka Chopra, who received the national title at a very young age, likewise made India proud at the National and International level. She gave back to society and excelled as an actor. She inspires people, has a great sense of humour, and has the zeal to gain more as she grows.

However, winning the pageant has been her dream since she was a 10-year-old girl. Nandini shared, “As a 10-year-old, I always wanted to compete in Femina Miss India when I wanted the crown for its beauty. But as I grew old, I realised it is just much more than the crown; it’s a journey that only a few get to experience. A platform that gives you wings to fly high. Miss India 2023 is a place which makes an ordinary girl extraordinary, keeping her simplicity intact.
