It is going to be one hell of a week for fashion lovers as India Couture Week has officially begun! After a magical opening by designer duo, Falguni and Shane Peacock, on July 26, Ritu Kumar and Suneet Verma showcased their latest collection. Ritu Kumar made a comeback on the ramp after a decade with her collection titled ‘The OG.’ She showcased the complexity of the glittering kasab and floral kashidakari keeping the legacy alive while encapsulating today’s India with the mood. Aditi Rao Hydari killed it as a showstopper but there was yet another familiar face on the runway!
Arjun Rampal and Mehr Jesai’s younger daughter Myra Rampal walked the ramp for Ritu Kumar! The eighteen-year-old is pursuing a career in fashion and damn, is she slaying it. The diva looked stunning as she had two outfit changes for Ritu Kumar. She first wore a printed cotton white lehenga set with a veil on her head. Her second look featured a turquoise blue velvet Kurta with shimmery copper work.
Like a proud father, Arjun Rampal took to his Instagram to post a video of his daughter walking the ramp. He wrote, “So so proud of my little Myra who is currently killing it on the runway.” Even Arjun Rampal’s current girlfriend, Gabriella Demetriades, who just delivered their second son cheered for Myra by dropping a clapping emoji in the comment section.
Who is Myra Rampal?
Myra has been following the footsteps of her mother, Mehr Jesia who was a renowned model during her time. She had won the title of Femina Miss India in 1986. Myra walked her first runway at Dior’s Mumbai show, held at the Gateway of India on March, 30, 2023. After that, she was spotted on July 26 at Ritu Kumar’s show. We’re certain that we’re going to see more and more of Myra on the ramp and soon on magazine covers as well!
