When you fall in love, you fall in love with the good, the bad and the weird. Anish and I started dating a year ago. I met him at my cousin’s shaadi, and as cheesy as it sounds, it was love at first sight. Having him around me feels like having a cup of hot chocolate on a cold winter night. He tears up while watching rom-com movies, reads to puppies, orders for pizza sans the pineapple topping, and occasionally, sends me flowers at my workplace! He’s old school and that’s what I admire about him. The best part is that even my parents approve of him!
He’s also a fabulous kisser. Oh, honey! When our lips touch, I swear I see the stars. Of late though, things have been slightly awkward between us (At least from my end). As much as I’d like to think of him as the perfect guy, I find it hard to digest some of his so-called ‘habits’.
How I Found Out His Dirty Little Secret
Okay, here it goes… My boyfriend has an armpit fetish. I discovered this only last month. First I thought he was playing around, but it became more of a habit. Every time we got touchy-feely, he’d get caught up in the moment, lift my arm up and take in a big long sniff. Wait a moment, it gets even stranger – tickling, kissing, tasting and licking follow immediately. It’s almost like he gets some sort of a high while doing it. The first time he did it, I was taken by shock. It’s not that it wasn’t enjoyable, it was well, just plain weird…
I didn’t say anything to him at first thinking it would ruin our moment. I thought it was a one-time thing and he’d get over it. However, it did not. It became a regular thing every time we’d have sex. I was curious to know why he was doing what he was doing. One night, while we cuddling in bed, I broke the ice. I spoke my mind and told him how strange sniffing armpits made me feel.
What baffled me was this confused expression he had on his face. He cupped my face and kissed me on the forehead. He later went on to say that natural body scent plays a powerful role in building chemistry and sexual attraction. He calls it the work of pheromones. He believes that every person on this planet has its own unique scent. Sometimes one shouldn’t only depend on visual and verbal senses to get attracted to a partner, scent is important as well. It’s what keeps lovers chemically bonded to each other. I was shocked by all this gyaan! I mean, that’s just the weirdest way of getting turned on.
I still have to come to terms with his fetish of sniffing armpits! Like I said before, I’m not bothered by it. It’s just a tad bit kinky, but since they don’t make em’ like that anymore, I think I can try to live with it.
